My name is Ariel and I'm a college sophomore and a Broadway lover. I have also recently begun being healthy and attempting to lose weight. Ok, so I’ve been on a bit of a test kick today…
Vodka and Orange Juice and now I’ve got some vodka that I soaked skittles in (not even a shots worth…we have some mini disposable shot glasses that I put it in). I have now found the recipe for cherry cough syrup minus a few active ingredients…took a small taste and blegh! but I am downing this thing if it kills me because in Europe I don’t get to say “no, I don’t like that” to my host family if they decide to serve wine with a meal and the first step to learning to drink wine (I have a grand total of ten days for this ><) is learning to handle alcohol at all (*Mike’s Hard Lemonade is not being counted as alcohol at this point because those actually taste good)

About to go on an alcohol hunt in my house…
Not to drink really, just to see what we have, see if it is all still good (I don’t know much about open bottles of alcohol and expiration though…help anyone? from the perspective of alcohol as a disinfectant and what I’ve read it doesn’t seem like this is too much of a problem due to the environment of the drink but again, I honestly don’t know), and just take stock of it in general - personally, I plan on washing all the bottles off after them being in our cabinets since “The Jay Days” (mom’s ex fiance - he left when I was in 4th grade so let’s say anywhere from 10-15 years mostly untouched bottles)
And then, just for the hell of it, I may use the handy app on my phone and see what I could make and maybe, just maybe, I might actually make something, though after the last three taste test attempts I am a little nervous about that part…
